Hughes Receives NCP Player of the Year
We recently honored the top coaches in Northern California, but any coach will tell you they need the right players to be successful. In competitive races on each level, we have a senior standout, a fabulous freshman and a Santa Clara sensation.

The Santa-Clara bound Hughes was considered one of the top players in Northern California heading into the season and he didn't disappoint. He went 14-1 with a 0.82 ERA to go with his .432 average.
Among his other post-season awards include the San Francisco Chronicle's Metro Player of the Year and the co-MVP of the WCAL.
Hughes was at his best during the Warriors' playoff section run as he picked up three wins, including wins in the semi-finals and finals of the playoffs against Serra and Mitty respectively.
