4. (11) Valley Christian (San Jose) 27-6
The Warriors made their third straight section championship game this year where they captured the CIF Central Coast Section Division 1 championship with a walkoff 1-0 win in the bottom of the seventh against Archbishop Mitty. Win the win, Valley Christian won its second section championship in the last three years. The repeat title combined with all of the other teams losing last week enables Valley Christian to jump up and grab the No. 4 spot in the final rankings with less losses than CIFSS Div. I champ Simi Valley. Clayton Eslick scored from second in the bottom of seventh inning on a flare to right from Christian Larra to set off a celebratory mob scene at homeplate. After suffering a 16-1 loss to Serra, the Warriors came back to beat Serra twice, including the final matchup in the CCS semifinals.
